Our Watershed Management Plan is currently being developed in order to secure grants for the preservation and protection of Big Pea Porridge Pond.

Our Weed Watch Program was formed in June 2021 to protect the pond’s ecosystem from invasive species of weeds.

In 2019, residents around Big Pea Porridge Pond began participating in NH Lakes’ LakeSmart Program. What started with one home grew to four in 2020 and six in 2021. Let’s keep up the momentum!

From 2009-2012, the Madison-Hills Paleoecology Project sampled the layers of soft sediment in Big Pea Porridge Pond to establish the ecologic change-sequence history of the Pond's basin.
